In July 2020, the Ingrams embarked on a venture they now refer to as a “labor of love.” The venture, known as The Castle, is the restoration of a vacant Presbyterian church located in the heart and soul of Syracuse, New York known as the Southside. This church is historically designated by the New York State Registry of Historic Places. The Castle, with an estimated renovation cost of $15M, will be a one-of-a-kind multi-use event center consisting of elegant event space, a sophisticated lounge and a training and development organization. The Castle is a catalyst for economic renaissance materializing in this Southside neighborhood, deemed as having a high concentration of poverty among Blacks and Hispanics. The Castle will greatly impact the rejuvenation of this area resulting in economic development, job creation and uplifting social interaction. The Castle, “Building a Legacy of Royalty.”
